Your subscription is used as follows:
One Off Fee (if applicable)
Gives you access to the resources at www.toastmasters.org website. Here you can start your Pathways learning journey, including one learning “path”.
You will only need to pay this fee once – you will not need to pay it if you join another club anywhere in the world.
Regular subscriptions
We pay approximately 50% of the subscription fee to Toastmasters International. Some of this helps them run the organisation, including administration and development of the learning resources. Some of this comes back to the clubs in the UK and Ireland and is managed by the District leadership team. This is mainly spent on training and expenses. If you would like more information, please ask Avril Stringer or Nick Mochler.
The rest of the subscription fee pays to run the club, most of which is spent on room hire. We also pay for Area and District events, such as contests, from time to time. When we have a surplus, we can also buy equipment or resources for the Club. This money is managed by the Committee and you are welcome to ask any committee member about how this money is spent. Please consider joining the committee for your say in how the club is run and how funds are spent.
